Secunderabad was named after Sikandar Jah, Asaf Jah III,
when Col. Land established the head-quarters of British
subsidiary force after the Treaty of 1798. It was one
of the largest British cantonments in India. |

in Arabic, Urdu, Persian, Telugu, Marathi and English,was

Official language of the State was changed from Persian

Directorate General of Police & Jail Department was
