breeze blowing across the lake and changing colours
with the setting sun make the surroundings of Hussain
Sagar Lake, a fascinating hangout place in the
evenings both for the youngsters as well as the
aged. There was a time when people used to spend
their leisure evenings on the Tank Bund Road only.
Bur now the choice has widened with the addition
of Lumbinipark, NTR Gardens and Necklace Road.
It is difficult to cover all these places unless
ofcourse if you have your own vehicle. The tourism
department has come out with a vintage coach that
will take you along the Hussain Sagar lake.
 Purnima,
the vintage coach, launched by AP Tourism Development
Corporation, will facilitate the people to go
around the Hussain Sagar Lake, enjoying the greenery
and beauty of Rotary park, Sanjeevaiah
Park, People's Plaza, NTR Memorial Park
and Lumbini Park. During this journey
one can take a thrilling boat ride and admire the
majestic statue of Lord Buddha from any of
the three jetty points - Lumbinipark, People's Plaza
at Necklace Road and Sanjeevaiah park.
 The
double decker vintage coach with open air deck is
fitted with public announcement system. The passenger
will be accompanied by a guide, who will explain
the importance and history of each place and must
visit tourist spots. The vintage coach starts from
APTDC Central Reservation Office, Tank Bund
Road at 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 pm daily. Purnima moves
in hourly intervals and one can avail the tour from
any alighting point for the duration of one hour
without any additional charge. This package offered
is inclusive of refreshments, boat-ride and all
entry tickets for Rs. 50 only.
