Heralding the start of the wedding season, the 'Diamond Information Centre' of the Diamond Trading Company (DTC), a concern of De Beers has put together an exclusive collection of 18 pieces of exquisite Diamond Vivaha Jewellery for the year 2001. The collection is brought by Meena Jewellers, a name to reckon with in jewellery in the city in association with Diamond Trading Company.

The Diamond Information Centre puts together a collection each year that premieres trends for the coming year in wedding jewellery. This year's collection comprises of 18 exquisite designs of a whopping 513 carats of diamond in the most innovative and exciting way. Showcased at Meena Jewellers, the abode for the rarest collection of precious diamonds, Diamond Vivaha Jewellery includes designs such as 'The Cleopatra' an Egyptian style necklace with 124 .05 carats round prongset diamonds, 'The Eternity' yellow gold necklace with 22.383 carats has diamonds held together with fine flexible gold chains. Drawing inspiration from the twists and turns of the decorative 'Celtic Art' this piece is stunningly beautiful with brilliantly cut diamonds. The collection also includes mind-blowing designs such as 'Aura of Light' 'Sangam', 'Mesh Menzed,' 'Aura' and 'Bandhan'. Bandhan is an 18 carat gold necklace with sparkling baguettes symbolising the sacred wedding knot.

Each necklace showcased in the showroom is designed intricately enhancing the beauty of the necklace and giving it a very sensual and feminine look. Says Devika Gidwani, Director, Diamond Information Center, "Diamonds are complementing bridal designer couture beautifully this season. They are the hottest accessory at the moment and adorn every designer's latest line in bridal wear. Designers like Tarun Tahliani, Ritu Kumar, Ritu Beri and others are all using diamonds to accessorise their latest collection. They have become a must buy for new age women who wants to set a trend."
