| Originally
named as the Fateh Maidan (the field of victory), where Aurangzeb
pitched his first camp on his victorious campaign against Golconda
to the Polo ground of Hyderabadi rulers, this was converted
into a stadium and was named as Lal Bahadur Stadium, after former
Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. |
